Most dogs can be registered. Be sure to ask the breeder what type of registration your new puppy will have. The big three registries are APRI, AKC, and ACA. If you are interested in partcipating in dog shows with a certain registry make sure the pup has the particular registration paper. You can also dual register your dog. AKC, for example, will accept APRI papers to dual register.
